We have an exciting opportunity for a Battery Systems Engineer at UL Standards and Engagement.
This is a hybrid role open to candidates who can commute two days a week to the office in Ottawa, Canada.
The Battery Systems Engineer will support the development, revision, and maintenance of safety standards within the areas of batteries, electrification, and alternative energy to advance the mission of UL Standards & Engagement (ULSE) to make the world safer, more secure, and sustainable. With a specialized focus on battery energy storage, the Battery Systems will apply their comprehensive knowledge, to address aspects such as battery degradation, electrochemical performance, and behavior modeling. As a subject matter expert, the Battery Systems Engineer will synthesize scientific insights and research development discoveries into actionable strategies to support the advancement of ULSE standards and refine testing methodologies.
